Lynn Nwosu, LCSW, therapist in Houston specializing in EMDR and IFS therapy for adults

Linyanta “Lynn” Nwosu, JD, LCSW, is the founder and clinical director of Life Wellness Therapy, a Houston-based psychotherapy practice.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and licensed attorney, Lynn brings an interdisciplinary perspective to trauma-informed mental health care. Her clinical work integrates evidence-based approaches including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and somatic practices.

With more than a decade of mental health experience across clinical, correctional, legal, and community settings, Lynn supports teens and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, identity development, and significant life transitions.

Lynn is a dedicated to healing, advocacy, and systemic change. Her work is rooted in empathy, evidence-based practice, and deep respect for every individual’s lived experience.

With extensive experience across jails, courts, schools, and community programs, Lynn has supported individuals facing some of life’s most complex challenges — from criminal defense and civil rights advocacy to trauma therapy for youth and adults. Her clinical approach integrates somatic and cognitive techniques to help clients reclaim their sense of power and wholeness.

Whether guiding a teen through grounding exercises, leading a grief session for a mother navigating loss, or producing clinical documentation that reflects the highest standards of integrity and care, Lynn approaches each interaction with compassion, clarity, and unwavering commitment.

At her core, Lynn believes in the inherent dignity of every person, the resilience of community, and the profound healing that comes from being seen and heard. These values guide every aspect of her practice and advocacy.
